I’m kinda weird. No, I’m very weird. I’m drawn to oddities, bizzarities, anything that visually deviates from the mainstream. One festive night, out on the town with close friends, we stumbled upon a pair of flip flops in the middle of the sidewalk…

My immediate response was, “Rapture!” Yes, that Revelation, back of the bible, this is how it would look if people were just plucked right where they were, kind of Rapture. (And please know I mean no disrespect, harm, or infringement on people’s beliefs.) For a more formal and authoritative definition (insert smirk), Wikipedia describes it as: “…the rapture refers to the predicted end time event when all Christian believers—living and resurrected dead—will rise into the sky and join Christ for eternity.” As a child, I found this terrifying. Given my imagination, I often wondered what would happen and when it would happen. Fast forward many years later and I’ve figured it out…or at least found a way to visualize the occurrence.
The beauty of it all is capturing things as they are. During that moment, whether they were rushing off to a meeting, forgot to put their shoes back on, or were doing something completely crazy (see below photo), what if they were caught up in the Rapture? What if right then and there, they ascended…who knows? But, you should follow my Instagram Page for more captures of Rapture.
